Hop House 13 Urban garden, in the Urban Guild Urban Garden? Ok, let me explain.
For those of you non-beer drinkers, Hop House 13 is a lager brand, and part of the Guinness family. Named after an early 1900’s hop store building at St. James’s Gate where hops are still stored, Hop House 13 is a double-hopped lager made with Irish barley and aromatic hops and continues the 256 years of heritage and brewing excellence at St. James’s Gate.
And to celebrate this awesome product, they’ve started a new campaign and pop-up beer garden that will travel some of the coolest bars and restaurants. And since it’s called the Hop House 13 Urban Garden… we had to host it! We have to give a massive shout-out to our friends at Hop House who approached us as the first ever venue to get involved.
You can find it down on our newly built lower terrace, following on from the outdoor seating area and down the stairs. The first thing you’ll spot is all the awesome Hop House branded barrels and kegs that have been modified into furniture!
Even the wooden seating has been made from old distribution pallets, so yeah, it looks awesome. Across from the seating is the mesmerising Urban Garden sign, fit with artificial grass and luminous writing you can spot from down in the gardens. Here it is, next to a shot of one of the walls in our restaurant. They’re perfect together!
Finally, make your way over to the heartbeat of the operation – the bar. That’s right. We’re pouring you delicious Hop House 13 straight from the terrace, so you don’t have to battle the stairs back up to the restaurant.
So kick back, grab a pint and enjoy the buzzing atmosphere and beautiful scenery, from now up until Christmas. Even when the sunshine starts to disappear, we’ll have the outdoor heating, blankets and beer jackets ready for you.
And if you’re STILL not sold, here are a few more awesome pictures to see what you’re missing out on.
