SUPPORTING LOCAL CHARITIES & FUNDRAISING EVENTS IN BOURNEMOUTH
Here at Urban Guild supporting local charities and organisations is very important to us.
Over the past couple of years across the Urban Guild, we have supported a large number of local good causes by providing raffle prizes:

• Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance: www.dsairambulance.org.uk
• John Thornton Young Achiever’s Foundation: www.jtyaf.org
• Julia’s House Children’s Hospice: www.juliashouse.org
•LV Streetwise Scheme: www.streetwise.org.uk
• Marie Curie Cancer Care: www.mariecurie.org.uk
• Myotubular Trust: www.myotubulartrust.com
• Stourfield Infant School: www.stourfieldinfants.bournemouth.sch.uk
• Willow Foundation: www.willowfoundation.org.uk
There are loads of brilliant people locally doing amazing things and as a result we do get a lot of requests for support and charity partnerships. We love to help and we will continue to do so as often as we can.
We are very proud of our most recent partnership with the The Crumbs Project, along with some other causes close to our hearts which you can read all about here.
We're not currently looking to work with any new charities at present.
The Crumbs Project
The CRUMBS Project is a charitable foundation dedicated to supporting disadvantaged adults by providing learning and development programmes which enable them to develop a wide range of professional and life skills, increase their confidence and self-esteem and to prepare for employment and independent living.
They support adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, stabilised addictions, or brain injuries to learn employment and life skills through professionally recognised training in food production & service, housekeeping or administration and provide opportunities for trainees to achieve Institute of Hospitality endorsed awards.
Check our our latest blog post from our recent visit to Crumbs HQ.
Hospitality venues are an intrinsic part of the fabric of our lives. They are where we play out our biggest life events and we have great memories of being there for so many of you. We have been there for your first dates, we have organised proposals on the deck with a flash mob orchestra and choir, we have hosted some epic weddings, and been the shoulder to cry on when toasting the dearly departed. It's taken Covid-19 to help people up and down the country realise how much they love their favourite independent pubs, bars, restaurants, and hotels – and how keenly they miss them when they are not there to share these times with.
